A message from Lynda Vladka’s daughter, Kris Knox:

Congratulations on another great event! Thank you so much!

On behalf of The Linda L. Vladyka Breast Wellness Foundation…. Thank you JAG Softball and everyone who participated and supported this event!

What an amazing success, not just in your fundraising but also by the reminding us cancer takes a lot away but it cannot take our compassion, our passion and love of the game or our ability to play!

The money you raised will be added to The Vladyka Fund at Salem Health. This fund provides emergency financial aid to breast cancer patients receiving treatment at Salem Hospital. The goal is to help prevent financial burdens from interfering or disrupting a patients’ course of treatment.

Linda was my Mother and one of the most upsetting things she experienced during her own breast cancer treatment was realizing how many people had to make choices between financial responsibilities and their cancer treatment. She understood, money doesn’t ensure everyone will survive but she felt strongly that no one should feel they can’t afford a chance to get well.

Breast cancer ended my Mom’s life 23 1/2 years ago when she was 56 years old. Her life with us ended but she continues to touch and change the lives of others in her memory and because people like you keep playing for a cure!

Thank you so much for choosing us to be stewards of your hard work!

Until there’s a cure,
Kris
