The JAG Softball association of officials supports USA Softball at the beautiful Wallace Marine Softball Complex located in Salem, Oregon. JAG was founded by USA Softball Northwest Region Mountain Region Hall of Fame-elect, John Garrett, a tenured NCAA softball official and Pac 12 Observer, who has, over the last 20 years, mentored an number of officials from rookie to highly respected NCAA umpires. His accomplishments include the development of 9 USA Softball Elite Umpires and providers year round support to Team JAG, on and off the fields.

The success of the JAG brand comes from the core messages of integrity, camaraderie, sportsmanship, and officiating excellence. From field mechanics to rule interpretation, JAG officials represent the best USA Softball has to offer. JAG officials travel throughout the US participating in Regional and National Championships along with the high profile USA Softball JO Cup and 16/18 Gold events. In 2019 and 2020, JAG sent officials to International Tournaments (Canada), National Championships in Texas, Virginia, California, and Oregon and over the last two years 5 JAG officials umpired Championship Games associated with many of these tournaments.
